Improving your quality of life during and after treatment is our focus at Community Medical Centers. That’s why we offer diagnostic and therapeutic services for those with primary and metastatic brain tumors. And you can count on our comprehensive range of support services to help every step of the way.

Diseases and tumors treated include:

  • Low- and high-grade gliomas. These are tumors that start in the brain or spinal cord. They include astrocytomas, pilocytic astrocytoma, anaplastic astrocytoma, glioblastoma, ependymoma, choroid plexus papilloma and central neurocytoma, among others.

  • Meningiomas, which are tumors that start from the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

  • Metastasis to the brain. Cancer that spreads to a different part of the body from where it began.

  • Previously resected (or cut out) brain tumors.

  • Skull-based tumors, including pituitary adenoma, chordoma and others.

A Team Approach

To give you the best care available, we’ve created the Multidisciplinary Neuro Clinic — a team of doctors representing a variety of specialties, including neurosurgery, and medical and radiation oncology. Working together, they meet regularly to diagnose, assess and design targeted, customized treatment plans based on the specific characteristics of each patient’s type of cancer. Examples of treatment may include surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy.

As a patient or family member, you’ll also have access to a clinical navigator and our oncology support services team — specifically designed to help you throughout your journey.
